Requesting an Appointment

You can request an appointment:

  • Online here, using our eConsult service, open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm.
  • If you cannot access our online facility, you may contact the practice by telephone on 023 9226 3138. Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm. A member of our reception team will request an appointment on your behalf.

A GP will review all appointment requests and let you know the outcome. This could include:

  • An on the day appointment with a member of our clinical team,
  • A future appointment with a member of our clinical team
  • Advice delivered by telephone call or text message,
  • Information signposting you to another NHS service.

You will receive an outcome within 48 hours of your request.

The practice has the facility to arrange a video consultation if required.

Cancelling an Appointment

To cancel your appointment, please use one of the following options.

  • Via the NHS app (or by signing into your NHS account online). You can set up your NHS log-in here.

  • By contacting the practice by telephone on 023 9226 3138 from Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:30pm.

  • Using our cancel appointment online form, found at the bottom of this page.

Routine Appointments

You can request a routine appointment online or contact the practice by telephone. During periods of high demand, you will not be able to request a routine appointment online.

During busy times, we ask patients to contact us another time with any routine requests.

Urgent Appointments

You can request a routine appointment either:

  • Online here, using our eConsult service, open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm.
  • By telephone on 023 9226 3138. Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm. A member of our reception team will request an appointment on your behalf.

During busy times, you will not be able to request an urgent appointment online. The practice remains open to review any incoming urgent requests by telephone. Please contact the practice by telephone and hold for a member of staff.

Extended Access Appointments

The Practice can offer appointments outside of our opening hours. To enquire, please contact the Practice on 023 9226 3138.

Home Visits

A GP will review all appointment requests for a home visit. Please state if you would like a home visit when requesting an appointment.

Out of Hours

If you need medical help when we’re closed, use the NHS 111 online service here, or dial 111.

  • Calls to 111 are free from both landlines and mobiles.

  • The NHS 111 online service is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

  • The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • You can contact 111 by calling 18001 111 using text relay, or by using the 111 BLS interpreter service here.

Urgent treatment centres can provide non-urgent medical help.

For urgent medical help, please call 999. If you cannot call 999 for any reason, attend your nearest emergency department, only if safe to do so. Our local A&E is Queen Alexandra hospital, Southwick Hill Road, Portsmouth, PO6 3LY.
